Stop drowning in the noise.
We live in a world that is loud. It is relentless. It is a constant hum of notifications, expectations, and the quiet, crushing weight of things left unsaid.
We feel it in the tightening of our chests during the morning commute.
We feel it in the way our patience frays at the end of a long day.
We feel it in the heavy fog that settles over our minds when we try to rest.
Most of us are not living; we are simply managing the overwhelm. We are quietly drowning in the static of modern life, waiting for a break that never seems to come. We tell ourselves that we just need a vacation, or a better system, or more discipline.
But we don’t need more "hacks." We need a practice.
A 14-day email course for mental hygiene and emotional clarity.
Mental hygiene is not a luxury. It is a necessity for the weary.
It is the daily habit of tending to the internal world so we can show up for the external one. It is the slow, rhythmic process of clearing the clutter from our souls so we can breathe again.
This is not a course about "fixing" your life. It is a 14-day email course about learning to stay with yourself and others when the world feels like it is unraveling.
MH5 is the name of the framework, not the length of the course. The course itself is a 14-day email practice built around five essential pillars of mental hygiene. These are not rigid steps, but rhythms to be practiced.

What to expect over 14 days
Over 14 days, this email course will guide us through practicing the five pillars of MH5: Notice, Name, Regulate, Anchor, and Seek Support.
Some days will help us slow down enough to notice what is happening inside us.
Some days will help us name what feels vague, heavy, or hard to explain.
Some days will help us regulate what stress has stirred up in the body.
Some days will help us anchor ourselves in what is steady and true.
Some days will help us practice seeking support with honesty and courage.
This is not five pillars crammed into five days. It is a 14-day email course that gives each pillar room to breathe, repeat, and settle into daily life.
We return.
We practice.
We learn to notice again.
That is the point.
Notice
The first pillar is awareness. We cannot change what we refuse to see. We learn to notice the subtle shifts in our mood, the physical sensations of stress, and the stories we tell ourselves when we are afraid.
Not a clinical diagnosis, but a gentle observation.
Not a judgment, but a recognition.
Name
Once we notice, we must name. There is power in the vocabulary of our own hearts. When we name the "noise": the anxiety, the grief, the exhaustion: it loses its formless power over us. We transition from "I am overwhelmed" to "I am experiencing a moment of deep pressure."
Regulate
Our bodies carry what our minds cannot process. To regulate is to return to the breath. It is the practice of calming the nervous system through intentional movement and rest. It is recognizing that a regulated body is the foundation of a steady mind.
Anchor
We all need something to hold onto when the tide pulls. An anchor is a value, a truth, or a physical practice that keeps us grounded in reality. It is the decision to stay present when our minds want to drift into the "what-ifs" of tomorrow.
Seek Support
We were never meant to carry the weight alone. Seeking support is not an admission of weakness; it is an act of profound courage. It is breaking the isolation that tells us we are the only ones struggling.

The Stayer Mindset
In my book, The Suicide Conversation, I talk about the power of presence. I talk about the "stayer": the person who doesn't flinch when things get dark, the person who chooses to remain in the room when others look away. The official press release announcing the book's publication on June 22, 2026 through Newman Springs Publishing also notes that it is available at bookstores everywhere or online through Apple iTunes Store, Amazon, Google Play, or Barnes and Noble.
Mental hygiene is how we become stayers for ourselves.
We cannot offer presence to others if we are depleted.
We cannot build bridges to the hurting if our own foundation is crumbling.
We cannot stay in the conversation if we have lost our own voice.
Not [toxic positivity] that masks the pain, but [honest endurance] that acknowledges it.
Not a quick fix for a broken mood, but a slow rhythm for a weary soul.
The MH5 14-day email course is designed for the leaders who feel the weight of their teams. It is for the caregivers who have forgotten how to care for themselves. It is for anyone who has looked at their life and realized they are running on empty.

Equip Your Team
Bulk orders for The Suicide Conversation are now available for organizations, churches, and leadership teams, and the official June 22, 2026 press release through Newman Springs Publishing reinforces that wider organizational access.
These resources were not designed to sit on a shelf. They were designed to help groups build a culture of presence together. To help us learn how to stay in hard conversations. To help us create communities where people are seen, heard, and less alone.
Not more language without practice, but shared rhythms that shape the way we care for one another.
Not a resource for one person to carry alone, but a way for teams to grow in presence together.
Whether your organization is ordering for a leadership cohort, a care team, a church staff, or a broader training effort, the press release points readers to the same broad availability at bookstores everywhere and online through Apple iTunes Store, Amazon, Google Play, or Barnes and Noble.
